WILSON SCHOOL RECEIVES HONORABLE MENTION

Welcome to Wilson

Sparking Individual Success to Build a Brighter World

Hello, my name is Steve Hospodar. Not only am I the proud Principal / Superintendent of Wilson School, but I also attended Wilson School, as did both of my children. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!

I’d like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family from our Wilson School community. We are a small, rural school, just minutes from downtown Petaluma, serving students in grades TK-6th. Innovative, progressive, and passionate about education, we make sure that every family feels a sense of belonging, that every student becomes a competent and independent learner, and that our educators meet the academic and emotional needs of every student.

I invite you to visit Wilson School and get to know us better!

OUR MISSION

Wilson School empowers its students with the skills and mindset to lead happy lives and be the leaders of tomorrow. By working together, our students, staff, and families build an environment that equips all students to embrace learning, achieve their own academic success, and build up their emotional, social and physical selves. Wilson students will be ready to be key contributors to a fair and just world by being inclusive, dedicated and passionate.

STRATEGIC DESIGN

Wilson Elementary School educates approximately 220 students in Transitional Kindergarten (Kinder Prep) through 6th grade. Wilson School has twelve classroom teachers, a credentialed Physical Education teacher, one Resource Specialist, an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, an administrator, a secretary, a business manager, instructional aides, a computer lab coordinator, a librarian, and various support personnel (nurse, speech, psychologist and counselor).

Wilson Elementary School is committed to providing high-quality education to our diverse student body. We achieve our goals through a challenging curriculum, quality teachers, and an atmosphere that emphasizes communication and cooperation. Together, these elements create a safe and engaging learning environment in which all students can excel.

What PEOPLE Are Saying...

I’ve had 2 kids at Wilson, one graduated last year and one is still there. I love this school. The principal and the teachers are wonderful.

~ J.D.

My daughter goes here and we love it. I went to a small school district when I was little and I get that same feeling here. The teachers are all so nice, and the parents are (mostly) all down to earth and friendly. The principal is very accommodating and communicates well.

Aaron J.

Wonderful small school experience with excellent teachers and administration. Much like an extended family.

~ Angie B.

Wilson school is great. The staff, the teachers, aides, the kids & families are all a joy to see. I love our school.

~ Sandie B.

My son attends Wilson and we’re very pleased.  His teacher, Mrs. Pologeorges, is the absolute best, and the small-school feel, the grounds, and most importantly the people make us tremendously satisfied with our decision. Highly recommend!

Stephen B.

I love Wilson, I went there, my kids go there, it’s a very safe, fun-filled, loving place! Wildcat pride!
